About David
David Wurster is currently working as a research associate at the Joint Innovation Hub (Link) of Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI (Link). He is a registered PhD student at the Department of Sociology of Technology and Innovation, Simulation Methods at the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz (Link).
David Wurster studied Mechatronics – Project Engineering (B.E.) at the dual University of Applied Sciences Mannheim and subsequently completed a part-time master’s degree (M. Sc.) at FOM Stuttgart with a focus on business consulting and digital management. He wrote his masters thesis on the topic of „Success factors for scaling business models in urban areas – in line with sustainable urban development“ in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering (IAO) in Stuttgart. From September 2019 to August 2022, Mr. Wurster worked as an IT and business consultant at a top-level consulting firm. As a result, he has extensive expertise in the development and implementation of new software applications.
